Discover a new sense of freedom and play. Meet other fun and interesting people. Taking an online class at Washington Improv Theater is the perfect way to unleash your creativity and connect with others.

MAKE TIME FOR FUN AND LAUGHTER

Our classes are geared toward fun. Meet fun and interesting people while building your skills! Our students and teachers have found online improv as a time to connect, and a time to break away from the relative monotony of what’s become “the new normal.” From your own home, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with lots of new people who bring their own unique experiences

WIT has moved its entire core curriculum online—so you can start taking our regular 8-week classes now!

Our passionate and supportive teachers care for and inspire thousands of budding improvisers every year. Trust them. They know what they’re doing.

All of our classes are taught by our experienced, thoughtful faculty who are experts at shepherding you to your improv goal. Not only are they skilled facilitators, many of our teachers are members of WIT’s acclaimed company ensembles or Harold Teams.

All of our teachers have either gone through WIT’s class program or have commensurate teaching experience at other improv institutions.

Take a look at some more information about our teachers on our People page.

WIT has some of the best teachers in the District, including when compared to places like Studio Theatre. Each class is structured with an objective and the teachers are earnest and invested.”
