Grand rising beloved. Your skinfolk ain’t always your kinfolk, but this time we got lucky. Kinfolk rests at the nexus of when “you people” become “your people.” A mason-dixon line of interpersonal connection, but also not that at all.
Are you excited to see your sister-cousin at this year’s family reunion? Who made this mac and cheese? Does your friend group make you question your/their sanity, but you kinda love it? Why can’t your teammates stay out of drama? Nobody knows your people like you do, except maybe Kinfolk.
These 2024 FIST champions, forged in the adversity of the tournament, turned forever family, ask the audience to share about the folks they belong to, then bring them to life on stage for your enjoyment.
