Playing It By Ear is the first run of WIT’s 25th Anniversary season! This music-themed performance series kicks off our residency at Studio Theatre and features our long-running musical ensemble iMusical (called “spot on” by The Washington Post).

The run also features performances by our family of company of ensembles who will use audience inputs like lyrics and song titles to inspire the show. Each night features a different line-up and no two shows are the same (even remotely!).

Jacob Bennett

Jacob Bennett is a folk-rock singer-songwriter based out of Washington, D.C. He released his acoustic eponymous debut LP in September 2020 and an EP of full-band songs, “Downer,” in June 2021. His latest acoustic album, “Heathen,” will be released in September 2022.
