GUEST: Dr. David Shiffman is a marine conservation biologist who studies sharks and how to protect them. His more than 50 peer reviewed scientific journal articles have been cited over 1,000 times, and he has bylines in National Geographic, Scientific American, the Washington Post, and a monthly column in SCUBA diving magazine. He is the author of “Why Sharks Matter: A Deep Dive with the World’s Most Misunderstood Predator,” and you can follow him on every social media platform @WhySharksMatter, where he’s always happy to answer any questions anyone has about sharks.
