Two Girls, One Take + Homeroom + 1-800-FIREDEPARTMENT + LIZARD GIRL

Say goodbye to the heat, the grind, and the headlines. Say hello to a night of laughter with WIT.

Two Girls, One Take

Your favorite unhinged dating podcast, except it’s live and none of it is real. Two Girls, One Take features two besties with no qualifications giving ruthless advice on your dating dilemmas, inventing slang, and occasionally stopping to argue about whether that take was good enough. This time, they will tackle your questions about wedding season dating etiquette and predict this year’s hot girl summer themes.

Cast: Catherine Castillo, Clare Mulligan

Homeroom

Time to head back to class and you know what that means… Stories! Rumors! Gossip! The drama and laughs don’t have to stay there. Take a seat and see what hilarity and hi-jinks ensue in this hilarious HOMEROOM!

Cast: Alex Wilkinson, Anna Burke, Caitlin Brady, Gwendolyn Bogard, Jack Barnes, James Nugent

1-800-FIREDEPARTMENT

Don’t call us, we’ll call you. When your comedy blazes are burning, it’s 1-800-FIREDEPARTMENT to the rescue. We’re D.C.’s only improv team regularly performing a format called the “deconstruction” — but don’t worry, we’ll put you back together.

Cast: Bethany Stokes, Chris D’Silva, Eli Okun, Madeline Dozier, Mikail Faalasli, Ryan McCloskey, Svend Larsen

LIZARD GIRL

Formed in May 2016, LIZARD GIRL is a troupe tracing its roots back to the golden age of Obama-era Harold teams at WIT. Now performing as an ensemble, the group strives to create sharp comedic shows by inviting you into their quirky world. LIZARD GIRL asks the audience for a location and from there invites you to get to know the characters in this location by building a backstory for these characters and this world through various flashbacks. Much of the group’s success can be attributed to their shared love of collaborative creation and subverting expectations. LIZARD GIRL is also the only known team in DC to have bombed in front of award-winning author Jonathan Safran Foer.

Cast: Bryce Slinger, David Brescia-Weiler, Jared Smith, Jessica Norman, John Carroll, Krystal Ali, Liz Sanders, Mikey Blunschi, Patrick Fleury, Samiyyah Ali

ABOUT WIT

WIT shows are perfect for a date night, out-of-towners visiting, or just something new and spontaneous to do. All for just $20.

For 28 years, Washington Improv Theater’s experienced teams of improv comedians have taken a simple suggestion or story from an audience member and turned it into a never-before-seen comedy show. And because every performance is based on an audience suggestion, that night’s show will never happen again! Our homegrown talent has gone on to SNL, The Daily Show, HBO’s Insecure and The White Lotus, and more!

Accessible pricing: For those who experience cost as a barrier, a limited number of affordable pricing tickets are available using the code AFFORDABLE at check-out.

Go to our Plan Your Visit page to learn about WIT shows and view our health and accessibility policies.
