WIT is the premier destination for improv comedy in DC. We deliver hilarious, dynamic, and innovative shows, featuring the most talented and experienced improvisers in the region.

The Hypothesis

This ensemble is made up of scientists and science enthusiasts with diverse science backgrounds, ranging from neuroscience to ecology, and from climatology to psychology. They give audience members the chance to pose a question to them. For example: How does memory work? Why is the sky blue? What happens in a black hole?

These talented improvisers then attempt to answer it based on their individual and collective understanding of the mysteries of science. They also invite special guests from time-to-time to talk about their areas of expertise. So, come prepared with that burning science question you’ve always wanted to have answered. Then get ready to have your mind blown and your funny bone tickled as the Hypothesis takes you on a scientific comedy journey.

Nox!

Nox! is a close-knit improv group that thrives on high-energy, memorable characters, and playing with both real and imagined worlds. They are one of the longest-running troupes in DC.

Hellcat

This all-Woman ensemble builds improvised stories out of the truths and insights of the human experience — from moments of despair and rage, to moments of elation and joy (and everything in between!)
