Stanley Seiden

Stanley has dedicated himself to raising improv awareness since the police officer writing his group a ticket in 2009 confused improvisation with miming.

Stanley has been performing and teaching improv for fifteen years. He has moved in and out of the DC improv scene since 2012, including a Fighting Improv Smackdown Tournament (FIST) championship in 2014 and performances with The Lodge in 2014 and 2015. He won the FIST title with the team Barely Runcible. He has stood up bilingual improvisational troupes in Iraqi Kurdistan and Taiwan, and led improvisation workshops around the world. In fall 2024, he became a cast member of WIT’s longest-running ensemble iMusical and he also coaches the Harold team Queensberg.

In a fit of inspiration, Stanley decided to run all of DC’s state-named avenues, start to end, in the order they became states. His current challenge is to check in at all 726 Capital Bikeshare stations.
