Washington Improv TheaterTrying to find the truth in everything I do.
I started improv classes with WIT back in 2017 with my friend, Slli’m, because I thought improv would help us become better sketch comedy writers. In retrospect, I was also in the middle of a life transition and didn’t know it, so improv became the outlet that made life feel better by the time Friday nights rolled around.
After doing all five sessions straight, I wound up on an indie team with some of my classmates called Revelry before playing in with a new team for The Cookout in 2020 called Earth, Wind & Tired. I have done some other stuff sporadically outside of those two teams, but those were pretty much it until signing up for FIST in 2026 with You Better Call Tyrone.
I am a poet, writer, lyricist & visual and performing artist with imposter syndrome. A former teacher and a perpetual student. Native of Prince George’s County, proud Howard grad, and lover of music (Hip-Hop especially), movies, comics, and cartoons/anime long before it was considered cool or chic. An introvert with something to say and the occasional extrovert who gets shy on stage. Essentially, I am a blerd reconnecting with many of the things that brought me joy without the social awkwardness it may have once had.
