Love Onion sunsets, auditions open for reconstituted team
WIT House Ensemble Love Onion, soon to be reborn under a new team name (TBD), will hold auditions for new team members on Thursday, July 25; Saturday, July 27; and Sunday, July 28.
Love Onion team members Joey Breems, Margaret Lee, Kristina Martinez, Jordana Mishory, and Vic Whitten will continue to perform together under the new moniker.
The deadline to sign up for auditions is 11:55 PM on Monday, July 22.
The ensemble seeks to add 2-3 players with at least 12 months of improv performance experience. The ensemble strongly encourages people with diverse backgrounds, voices and experiences to consider auditioning. Auditions will be open-call, and followed by callbacks for auditioners and the team to play together and assess mutual fit. The team practices Thursdays at CentroNia (1420 Columbia Rd. NW) from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. EDT.
The new team’s artistic vision
We are a team who cares about what connects us. In different situations, as different species, in varying levels of consciousness, in multiple dimensions of space and/or time, we care just as much about the relationship of a chip to its salsa as we do about your grandparents meeting for the first time. Our play explores dynamics of relationships and worries less about the packaging than what’s inside.
