Table Talk: An Improvised Tale of Adventure
Table Talk: An Improvised Tale of Adventure promises to be the show of the summer!
Table Talk: An Improvised Tale of Adventure is an improvised story of a group of friends and the game they play together. Every show centers around a gaming group gathering for their regularly scheduled game night. Over the 50 minute runtime, you’ll see their lives play out both in real life (or IRL) and in the delightful make believe world they create together. You’ll experience everything from the joyous laughter of a good goof ’em up, to the juicy pathos of some unexpected drama.
Inspired by the lived experience of director Hannah Piper as a tabletop gamer and trans woman, Table Talk explores the moments of unexpected meaning that happen in between jokes and laughter. No two shows will be the same, but audiences can expect a raucous good time, underscored by the heartfelt and true answer to the question “why do we play games together.” Whether you’re an experienced player with multiple sets of dice on your shelf, or someone who couldn’t tell the difference between a dwarf and a halfling, Table Talk: An Improvised Tale of Adventure promises to be the show of the summer.
