The Broken Bones
The Broken Bones presents ‘Injury Into Comedy’. We’ve all been hurt, perhaps by a hidden patch of ice, a sick collision while scoring the winning goal, or a very public breakup at your 28th birthday party. The Broken Bones will interview an audience member about an injury—be it physical, emotional, or other—and we will all heal together through comedy. The cast has some of DC’s funniest improvisers who have been featured by Comedy Central, The Washington Post, NPR, as well as comedy festivals around the US and Europe.
Cast: Darnell Eaton, Erick Acuña, Eva Lewis, Geoff Corey, Kristina Martinez, Kelsey Peters, Neil Baron
Thin Walls
Thin Walls is WIT’s new Directors Series summer production. The show unfolds over a single day in one shared location, where every moment reverberates throughout the space in surprising ways. Performed in the “Close Quarters” long-form improv format, the cast builds a story as they go, letting discoveries in one corner spark unexpected consequences in another. It’s tightly woven, wildly spontaneous, and full of delightful and hilarious chain reactions.
Cast: Bethany Stokes, Bill Nelson, Dana Heiser, Daniel Barrera-Ortega, David Spears, Erick Acuña, Hannah Lord, Lauren Gabel, Patrick Fleury, Robin Dickey, Rose Buchbinder, Sanjana Raghavan
ABOUT WIT
WIT shows are perfect for a date night, out-of-towners visiting, or just something new and spontaneous to do. All for just $20.
For 28 years, Washington Improv Theater’s experienced teams of improv comedians have taken a simple suggestion or story from an audience member and turned it into a never-before-seen comedy show. And because every performance is based on an audience suggestion, that night’s show will never happen again! Our homegrown talent has gone on to SNL, The Daily Show, HBO’s Insecure and The White Lotus, and more!
