Strategic Cheese Reserve + I Wrote That + Commonwealth

WIT shows are perfect for a date night, an evening downtown with guests, or a fun experience on your own!

WIT is DC’s top spot for hilarious improv comedy. Our shows are surprising, smart, and totally unscripted, and feature the funniest improvisers in the region.

Inspired by a simple suggestion from the audience, each show is an unpredictable delight. In fact, most first-time audience members find it hard to believe that what they’re seeing is entirely made up on-the-spot. (It is!)

Strategic Cheese Reserve

Strategic Cheese Reserve is a five-person group defined by their commitment to unusual scenarios, heartfelt characters, and impenetrable bureaucracy. Should audience members emerge from this show, they’ll long remember the journey they went on with SCR’s players.

CAST: Dan Kois, David Backer, Dee Dee Bowden, Elisabeth Mabus, Greg Krasnoff

I Wrote That

In this show, some of DC’s best improvisers will read pieces by their younger angsty selves, before using these poems, songs, and diary entries as inspiration for scenes. Think The Moth meets SNL meets that relief of being old enough to laugh at your younger emotional selves.

CAST: Christina Dabney, Jordana Mishory, Kristina Martinez, Mikail Faalasli, Turner Meeks

Commonwealth

Commonwealth loves gossip. We can’t help it. Do you have a piece of trivial insignificant gossip you’ve just got to get off your chest? Did someone steal lunch from the break room? Has your mother-in-law been charged with misdemeanor shoplifting? Your neighbor’s not picking up after their dog! No tidbit is too small for this troupe to turn gossip into comedy gold.

CAST: Catherine Deadman, Denny Johnson, Jamie Lantinen, Jules Duffy, Ryan Krull, Stewart Walsh
