Sapphic Supper + LIZARD GIRL + The Broken Bones and Friends featuring Ask Me Anything with Joanne Zurcher

Need an antidote to grim headlines? WIT will give you a jolt of optimism while delivering laughs from our talented ensembles.

ABOUT WIT

WIT shows are perfect for a date night, out-of-town visitors, or simply something new and spontaneous to do. All for just $20.

For more than 25 years, our hilarious, experienced improvisers have taken a simple suggestion or story from an audience member and turned it into never-before-seen comedy. And because every performance is made-up on-the-spot, no two shows are ever the same, so you can keep coming back for more! Our homegrown talent has gone on to “SNL,” “The Daily Show,” HBO’s “Insecure” and “The White Lotus,” Hulu’s “How to Die Alone,” and more!

ABOUT ASK ME ANYTHING

From fearless advocates to visionary leaders, join us as we shine our spotlight on a series of noteworthy and inspiring individuals, who are making a difference in the DC area and beyond. Each guest will share stories and insights through a candid Q&A session. From there, a cast of improv comedians will use that material as inspiration for their performance.

Why doom-scroll when you can get out of the house (and out of your head) with a night of hope, community, and comedy?

ABOUT OUR SPECIAL GUEST JOANNE ZURCHER

Joanne Zurcher has over 25 years of experience in federal healthcare and education policy, with roles on Capitol Hill, in the Obama Administration, and at leading health trade associations. She played a key role in landmark legislation, including No Child Left Behind and the Affordable Care Act, and helped establish a $1.5 billion Home Visiting Program. Her career also spans lobbying for global health, environmental health, and higher education, and she currently works for the American Academy of Audiology.

Post-pandemic, Joanne discovered a passion for improv, graduating from WIT’s program and DC Improv’s stand-up class. She has performed in WIT’s FIST competition and continues to hone her skills through improv electives.
