Per My Last Email + KINFOLK + Hypothesis

WIT shows are perfect for a date night, an evening downtown with guests, or a fun experience on your own!

WIT is DC’s top spot for hilarious improv comedy. Our shows are surprising, smart, and totally unscripted, and feature the funniest improvisers in the region.

Inspired by a simple suggestion from the audience, each show is an unpredictable delight. In fact, most first-time audience members find it hard to believe that what they’re seeing is entirely made up on-the-spot. (It is!)

Per My Last Email

Two burned-out professionals take time off from sending Outlook invites to create a single, sprawling, completely improvised scene: built from your real office confessions. Two performers, every character, endless possibilities. Escape work — or face its miseries — with Per My Last Email.

Cast: Meredith Gagiola, Robin Doody

KINFOLK

These 2024 FIST champions, forged in the adversity of the tournament, turned forever family, ask the audience to share about the folks they belong to, then bring them to life on stage for your enjoyment.

Cast: Jamal Newman, Kendall Holliman, Krystal Ali, Samiyyah Ali

The Hypothesis

The Hypothesis combines science and improv to both inform and delight audiences. The team consists of scientists and science enthusiasts with diverse science backgrounds — ranging from neuroscience to ecology, from climatology to psychology, and everything in between.

The Hypothesis format consists of the audience asking the performers a question (ex: How does memory work? Why is the sky blue? What happens in a black hole? Can you terraform Mars?), and players with the knowledge then attempt to answer it. The Hypothesis has also welcomed special guest scientists to talk about their area of expertise in a short presentation to inspire the show. So come prepared with that one burning science question you always wanted answered. Or simply get ready to have your mind blown, and funny bone tickled as the Hypothesis takes you on a scientific comedy journey you never thought possible.

Cast: Bethany Stokes, Ceci De Robertis, Christina Dabney, Goli Samimi, Gwendolyn Bogard, Henry Ring, Jordana Mishory, Nick Tschernia, Nina Hsu, Rose Buchbinder, Tom Di Liberto
