Autumn is time to get cozy with your favorite blanket, your best besties, and a steaming hot cup of TEA. Bring us your juicy gossip and scandalous secrets, and we’ll use one lucky audience member’s tittle-tattle as inspiration for our show. You spill the tea, we’ll make you tee-hee!

The Hypothesis

The Hypothesis combines science and improv to both inform and delight audiences. This WIT house ensemble is made up of scientists and science enthusiasts with diverse science backgrounds — ranging from neuroscience to ecology, climatology to psychology, and everything in between.

The audience is invited to ask the performers a question (ex: How does memory work? Why is the sky blue? What happens in a black hole? Can you terraform Mars?), and the players then attempt to provide an answer. The Hypothesis has also welcomed special guest scientists to talk about their areas of expertise in a short presentation to inspire the show. So, come prepared with that one burning science question you always wanted answered. Or simply get ready to have your mind blown and funny bone tickled as The Hypothesis takes you on a scientific and comedic journey!
