About Ask Me Anything:
From fearless advocates to visionary leaders, join us as we shine our spotlight on a series of noteworthy and inspiring individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. Each guest will share stories and insights during a candid Q&A with a cast member. From there, the witty members of the Queer Variety Players will use that material as inspiration for their performance.
Exceptionally, for this performance only, our special guest will perform a five-minute stand-up set before the Q&A portion of the evening.
About Chelsea Shorte:
Originally from Richmond, VA, Chelsea discovered comedy as a way to stave off the boredom of being a beautiful twenty-something. Since first taking the stage as an improv comedy performer and then stand up, they have flourished and have further applied their creative drive to storytelling, podcasting, sketch writing, acting, and drag performance.
During their career, they have performed at several universities, festivals, conventions, and comedy clubs across the country. Some highlights include performing at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Boston Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival, and performing and fundraising for the Human Rights Campaign, Abortion Access Front, and Operation Hope Foundation. Their stand up material ranges from riffs on the low bar for allyship to dating or even pythons in the Everglades. Discover more at chelseashorte.com
