For more than 25 years, our hilarious, experienced improvisers have taken a simple suggestion or story from an audience member and turned it into never-before-seen comedy. From fearless advocates to visionary leaders, join us as we shine our spotlight on a series of noteworthy and inspiring individuals, who are making a difference in the DC area and beyond. Each guest will share stories and insights through a candid Q&A session. From there, a cast of improv comedians will use that material as inspiration for their performance.

ABOUT OUR SPECIAL GUEST MARY KUSLER

Mary Kusler is the Senior Director of the Center for Advocacy and Political Action at the National Education Association (NEA). In this role, she has worked to expand student loan forgiveness and student nutrition programs, curb gun violence in schools, limit the spread of harmful school choice schemes, and increase Social Security access for public service workers, among other achievements. Her center also leads NEA’s work on political campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels — including recruiting and training educators to run for office — and its work on collective bargaining. Basically, if there is a policy area that affects educators, students, or families, Kusler has worked on it, with the overall goal of ensuring great public schools for every student.
