1-800-FIREDEPARTMENT + Mission Critical – Secular Winter Holiday Fest + Uncle Gorgeous
Washington Improv Theater Presents - December 30, 2023
WIT's improv comedians turn an audience suggestion into a never-before-seen comedy show!
1-800-FIREDEPARTMENT: Is your holiday season in danger? Call 1-800-FIREDEPARTMENT! We’re here to save your holiday plans from going awry—whether your cat pulled down all your New Year’s Eve streamers right before your party or your connecting flight got snowed out and trapped you at JFK airport. No emergency is too big or too small. Watch as we try to avert festive disaster with plenty of hilarious hijinks along the way. Cast: Madeline Dozier, Mikail Faalasli, Svend Larsen, Ryan McCloskey, Eli Okun, Bethany Stokes
Mission Critical – Secular Winter Holiday Fest and Ugly Sweater Contest: Come join other stakeholders in celebrating everything that the hardworking Mission Critical cast has achieved this year. Satirizing nonprofit life is a special mission that only these improvisers, who have all worked in non-profits, can take on with such authenticity. Please wear your ugliest holiday sweater and come feel the love.
Uncle Gorgeous: Join Uncle Gorgeous for a heartwarming holiday-themed improv show that’s all about making cherished memories come alive! We’ll ask for a fond holiday memory involving a loved one, then delve into a brief interview to capture the essence of that special time. From there, get ready for a 25-minute silly super-cut of the highs, lows, hilarity, and beauty of existing in today’s world. The performers will feel like your favorite fun uncles when they improvise a feel-good comedy set based on your heartwarming holiday recollections, ensuring a night of laughter, nostalgia, and unscripted fun.
