Sam Hollon
he/him
Washington Improv TheaterFrom playground make-believe to narrative improv, Sam has been telling stories as long as he can remember.
Sam discovered improv as a teenager at the Hideout Theatre in Austin, Texas, and he’s never looked back. For Sam, improv is about story, character, and connection. His favorite style is longform narrative, where a complete play comes to life on stage, with characters who struggle and grow. Sam helped run improv classes, camps, and clubs for kids and teenagers in the Austin area and was an Assistant Instructor at Building Connections, an improv program that helps children and young adults with autism and learning differences develop social skills through play.
Off stage, Sam designs tabletop games and writes about worldbuilding and storytelling. While living in the rainforests of British Columbia and the woods of Sweden, he learned to forage for mushrooms and berries, a passion he’s taken with him to DC.
