Kirra Jarratt

Kirra Jarratt is the CEO of the D.C. Bar Foundation.

Founded in 1977, the DC Bar Foundation is the leading funder of civil legal aid in the District of Columbia, committed to the vision that all residents have equal access to justice regardless of income.

Before being selected to lead the DC Bar Foundation in 2014, Ms. Jarratt worked in the DC community for more than 20 years. She worked on the Hill, co-founded a law practice, served as agency counsel within the District’s Office of the Attorney General, and lobbied on behalf of the American Bar Association.

A graduate of Harvard College and the University of Michigan School of Law, Ms. Jarratt is active in the local and national legal community. She currently serves on the Board of the National Conference of Bar Foundations and is active within the National Association of IOLTA Programs. Locally, she is a past president of two foundations and served on the D.C. Bar Board of Governors.

Ms. Jarratt is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Leadership Greater Washington. She lives in Washington DC.
