Colleen Ryan

Colleen discovered her love of improv at WIT while trying to avoid talking about work in DC.

After moving to D.C. from Ohio to focus more on work than procreating, she realized she hated work. WIT classes became a welcome refuge. Through WIT, she made enough friends to form the indie troupe Live and Local, which evolved during COVID into Le Collectivé—a group that goes on beach retreats but never does improv together.

Colleen’s special skills include making herself anyone’s youngest sister and gathering introverts. As a reformed lover of gossip, she is currently committed to her “no enemies” era… don’t tempt her. She now focuses most of her energy on admiring her dog Margaux’s spots and prying trash away from her boyfriend’s dog, Cow.
