Palooza 2026 submissions are now open!
We’re now accepting submissions for Improvapalooza (Palooza for short) — WIT’s annual, fast-paced, five-day festival of wild and wacky improv, which will take place from Wednesday, Aug. 19 to Sunday, Aug. 23 at Studio Theatre.
Described by some as having a “summer camp for adults” vibe, Palooza is just a ton of fun — both to watch and take part in. It’s so fun, in fact, that many of us keep a running list of ideas all year long!
Now’s the time to get those lists out and start submitting because the deadline is Tuesday, June 30 at 11:59 PM. Here’s the form.
Every year, Palooza features hundreds of improvisers and dozens and dozens of unique, new shows created by students, alumni, teachers, newer improvisers, and seasoned veterans of the improv community alike.
We’re looking for creative and fun ideas and formats — not your usual play or stuff we see at most shows.
Check out the Frequently Asked Questions and if you’re not sure where to begin, we’ve got your back! Our submission mentors are hosting help desk hours and jams, and there will also be a happy hour. Check out the full calendar.
You can also connect on the Facebook Improvapalooza Discussion Herd or send questions to: palooza@witdc.org.
