Love Onion becomes Washington Improv Theater’s newest company ensemble
Washington Improv Theater is thrilled to announce that Love Onion will exit the Harold Team program and become WIT’s next company ensemble, beginning this September.
The team’s final regular Harold Night performance will be Tuesday, Aug. 25. In deciding to advance the team for ensemble status, Artistic Director Mark Chalfant and representatives from the company’s existing ensembles took special note of Love Onion’s appetite for risk-taking, fun choices, and their supportive team chemistry.
“The Love Onion cast is a proverbial barrel of monkeys. They’re fun to play with, they’re always intertwined, and there’s always a little bit of chaos in the mix,” says Chalfant. “I can’t wait to see what they bring us next.”
Love Onion’s cast is Amy O’Brien, Coonoor Behal, Margaret Lee, Sam Bonar, Stephen Carter, Tim Harkin, Tim Hunt, and Zac Chase.
Abe Woycke (Season Six) remains as the team’s coach. Love Onion performer Stacy Hayashi will leave the group at the end of its run as a Harold team.
