ABOUT WIT
WIT shows are perfect for a date night, out-of-town visitors, or simply something new and spontaneous to do. All for just $20.
For more than 25 years, our hilarious, experienced improvisers have taken a simple suggestion or story from an audience member and turned it into never-before-seen comedy. And because every performance is made-up on-the-spot, no two shows are ever the same, so you can keep coming back for more! Our homegrown talent has gone on to “SNL,” “The Daily Show,” HBO’s “Insecure” and “The White Lotus,” Hulu’s “How to Die Alone,” and more!
ABOUT ARTISTIC DIRECTOR FOR A DAY
Tonight’s performances were curated by WIT performer Clare Mulligan (Hellcat), who won the opportunity to be “Artistic Director for a Day” by placing the highest bid for it at our 2024 silent auction fundraiser.
ABOUT GUILTY PLEASURES
This performance block will open with DC’s “sexiest improvisers performing an improvised erotic thriller.” The cast is composed of veteran WIT performers, whom you might recognize from our regular ensemble shows and special productions.
Cast: Clare Mulligan, Aubrey Peterson, Jamal Newman, Liz Sanders, Matt Strote, Simone Webster, Patrick Fleury, Devin Hiett, and Kaelan Sullivan
ABOUT IMUSICAL PRESENTS: IBOYBAND
WIT’s longest-running ensemble iMusical is well-known for creating mini musicals out of thin air using the magic of improv. You (almost) won’t believe your ears! They’ll be integrating a “boy band” vibe into this special performance.
ABOUT THE CARMICHAELS
WIT performers Krystal and Samiyyah Ali know a little something about finding love on stage and they’re the hosts of this “’Newlywed’-style improvised game show,” which leaves it up to the audience to decide who among our improviser-contestants have the best chemistry!
