The (All New) Queer Variety Cavalcade: “Queers in Space!”
WIT Presents: DC’s Funniest Improvisers - September 28, 2024
Get Tickets Now!Join us as we celebrate Art All Night 2024 with a very special edition of The (All New) Queer Variety Cavalcade, presenting "Queers in Space!" As with all of our 9:30 PM shows this fall, tickets to this performance are Buy One, Get One so invite a friend (or a bunch of friends!) and celebrate LGBTQ+ talent with us!
“Beam me up, Butchie!” In the grand Queer tradition of Kirk and Spock, C-3P0 and R2D2, Lady Gaga’s ArtPop pronunciation of “Jupitah!” and the trailblazing Sally Ride, WIT’s (All New) Queer Variety Cavalcade (QVC) is back… and, at last, they’re broadcasting from the dark side of the Moon!
Join co-hosts “Birdie” (aka Kevin Eggleston) and “Butchie,” (aka Bill Nelson), plus the QVC Improv Players, and their invited guests for a celebration of LGBTQ+ talent and “Queers in Space!”
Enjoy a discussion of exo-planets and orbiting exes with guest interviewee and Astrophysicist Ell Bogat, whose many professional accolades include spending three years on the Mars Reconnaissance Team at NASA, helping to develop human missions to Mars.
There will also be an appearance by Baltimore’s premiere Filipina cabaret queen Beth Amphetamine and a special musical performance from singer/songwriter Be Steadwell.
They will join other Queer performers in bringing a cosmological twist on burlesque, drag, music, and magic that will climax with a Big Bang… of improv!
Recommended for audience members 18+.
Organized in conjunction with Art All Night, District Bridges, and the “Art of Drag” at Logan Circle, including drag performers and make-up tutorials, plus an LGBTQ+ vendor market. Check them out before or after you see our show!
