Sabado Picante + Peahen + Sistine Robot and Friends featuring Ask Me Anything with Christie Walser

Need an antidote to grim headlines? WIT will give you a jolt of optimism while delivering laughs from our talented ensembles.

ABOUT WIT

WIT shows are perfect for a date night, out-of-town visitors, or simply something new and spontaneous to do. All for just $20.

For more than 25 years, our hilarious, experienced improvisers have taken a simple suggestion or story from an audience member and turned it into never-before-seen comedy. And because every performance is made-up on-the-spot, no two shows are ever the same, so you can keep coming back for more! Our homegrown talent has gone on to “SNL,” “The Daily Show,” HBO’s “Insecure” and “The White Lotus,” Hulu’s “How to Die Alone,” and more!

ABOUT ASK ME ANYTHING

From fearless advocates to visionary leaders, join us as we shine our spotlight on a series of noteworthy and inspiring individuals, who are making a difference in the DC area and beyond. Each guest will share stories and insights through a candid Q&A session. From there, a cast of improv comedians will use that material as inspiration for their performance.

Why doom-scroll when you can get out of the house (and out of your head) with a night of hope, community, and comedy?

ABOUT OUR SPECIAL GUEST CHRISTIE WALSER

Since 2010, Christie Walser has served as Executive Director of Project Create, a community-based nonprofit that promotes creative youth development through multi-disciplinary arts education and enrichment in DC. Project Create is a key Community Outreach partner for WIT, enabling us to offer free adult improv classes for residents of Wards 7 and 8. WIT also teaches after-school improv for kids there. Prior to her time at Project Create, Walser honed her legal and financial management skills working with nonprofit clients at District law firms Steptoe & Johnson and Morgan Lewis. She is a DC Court-Appointed Special Advocate and has served seven children throughout her twenty-year tenure as an advocate for youth with abuse and neglect cases in DC Family Court. In tandem with her service as a volunteer child advocate, Walser has consulted with child advocacy organizations on development and fundraising, program management, and strategic planning.
