POTUS Among Us: Beyond Belief with special guest Molly Ball (Wall Street Journal)

What’s the truth about WIT's (fictitious) presidential candidates? Come find out–and maybe spread some of your own rumors along the way.

Washington Improv Theater’s unscripted election satire POTUS Among Us: Beyond Belief celebrates its twentieth anniversary with a 2024 edition that puts audiences in control of the candidates’ identities as well as their political future. This year’s edition explores rumor and misinformation—how do we understand truth in an age of misinformation. And what role do we all play in spreading rumors?
Each performance introduces a different motley cast of candidates running to be commander-in-chief. These outlandish characters will combat (or spread) misinformation, face off in debates, and take on rumors (perhaps started by the audience themselves!). The audience will help narrow the field down to two final candidates and ultimately vote to elect a winner each night.

ABOUT THE GUEST: MOLLY BALL is The Wall Street Journal’s senior political correspondent, covering campaigns, the White House, Congress, political personalities, and policy debates across America. She is also a frequent television and radio commentator and the author of “Pelosi,” a bestselling biography of the first woman Speaker of the House. She has received numerous awards, including the Gerald R. Ford Prize for Distinguished Reporting on the Presidency. She is a graduate of Yale University and — fun fact — once won $100,000 on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”
