The Performers

Not One of Your Little Friends

A lot of us had moms, who would say, “I’m not one of your little friends.” What does that mean?!? Well, it means your mom isn’t a friend, so don’t talk to her like one. She’s your parent. Not One of Your Little Friends is an indie troupe that brings that experience to the stage.

Cast: Daarel Burnette II, David Spears, Ernest Afflu, Jacquel Tomlin, Monica Hamilton, Olu Okusaga, Richard Johnson, and Stewart Gray III

I Wrote That

In this show, some of DC’s best improvisers will read pieces by their younger angsty selves, before using these poems, songs, and diary entries as inspiration for scenes. Think The Moth meets SNL meets that relief of being old enough to laugh at your younger emotional selves.

Lena Dunham Improv Presents: Your Black Friend

The black members from their own improv troupes join forces and transform your conversations with your black friends into art.

Cast: Arie Rich, Darnell Eaton, Eva Lewis, Jamal Newman, Krystal Ali, Samiyyah Ali, Simone Webster, Sliim Williams
