Makes You Think + Tea Time with Commonwealth + Kinfolk

Let DC’s funniest improvisers give you a break from reality with their smart, surprising, and totally unscripted comedy!

Makes You Think

This indie troupe brings you a unique format of advanced improv that will make you laugh, think, and then laugh again.

Cast: Cassie Hoffman, Craig Gagel, Grace Campion, Johanna Franzen, Marisa Borreggine, Meghan Faulkner, Peter Bird, Peter Jones, Ryan Pierannunzi, Sam Ruback, Will Ferriby

Tea Time with Commonwealth

Autumn is time to get cozy with your favorite blanket, your best besties, and a steaming hot cup of TEA. Bring your juicy gossip and scandalous secrets, and we’ll use one lucky audience member’s tittle-tattle as inspiration for our show. You spill the tea, we’ll make you tee-hee.

Cast: Catherine Deadman, Denny Johnson, Jamie Lantinen, Jules Duffy, Kate Symes, Ryan Krull, Stewart Walsh

Kinfolk

Come see what happens when we put your kinfolk center stage. Kinfolk, which became the first all-Black group to win the coveted Fighting Improv Smackdown Tournament in 2024, takes your stories and turns them into an unscripted, improvised comedy show. We get a little tea about one of your loved ones, and then we build a whole world inspired by them. It’s funny, it’s fast, and it’s a celebration of the chaos and comedy that comes with having people in your life.

Cast: Jamal Newman, Kendall Hollimon, Krystal Ali, Samiyyah Ali
