Prepare for an electrifying showdown as Kinfolk, our all-Black improv troupe, brings you Villain vs. Hero’! In this high-energy and unpredictable show, watch as the 2024 FIST Champions embody the iconic archetypes of heroism and villainy, creating a dynamic battle of wits and wills right before your eyes.

The Broken Bones: Injury into Cinema
The Broken Bones presents ‘Injury Into Cinema’. We’ve all been hurt, perhaps by a hidden patch of ice, a sick collision while scoring the winning goal, or a very public breakup at your 28th birthday party. The Broken Bones will interview an audience member about an injury—be it physical, emotional, or other—and we will all heal together through comedy and your favorite genre. Injured on a date? A Romcom show! During college? Teen film! At a hounted house? Horror time! The cast has some of DC’s funniest improvisers who have been featured by Comedy Central, The Washington Post, NPR, aas well as comedy festivals around the US and Europe.

Picture it: the meet-cute, the awkward dance of attraction, or the serendipitous encounter that could rival any Hollywood script. Through a brief interview, we’ll capture the essence of these enchanting tales. Then, buckle up for a 25-minute rollercoaster ride of laughter, love, and unexpected twists as we bring these scenes to life. Our performers will become your favorite fun uncles, weaving together an unscripted comedy set filled with nostalgia, romance, and genuine joy. Get ready to revel in the timeless hilarity of love, laughter, and the delightful chaos of life’s romantic misadventures!

Accessibility information

This performance will take place in the Milton Theatre on the second floor, reachable by stairs or elevator. Most seats in the Milton require the use of some stairs in the theater. The Milton has wheelchair- and scooter-accessible locations (reached by use of a platform lift) where patrons can remain in their wheelchairs or transfer to seats. Patrons requiring a wheelchair-accessible seat location should purchase a general admission ticket and then notify us by email at wit@witdc.org so that box office staff can be ready to assist or direct you.
