A Very Improv Holiday: White Elephant Blitz (with opener by The Broken Bones)

Joy! Mirth! Togetherness! Laughter is the reason for this season of improv performances.

Nothing could possibly go wrong during the holidays, right?

In White Elephant Blitz, a cast of all-star improvisers from WIT’s company ensembles offers everyone the gift of holiday hilarity and surprise!

Taking inspiration from Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Festivus, and other year-end celebrations, we’re serving up mirth, merriment, and the magic of improv during 10 special performances from Dec. 6 to 29.

Every show presents a different combination of holiday vibes — from Whoville to Bedford Falls and from The Nutcracker Suite to Hallmark Holiday movies — but with a Grinch-y twist for those in the audience whose mood is decidedly more “Bah Humbug” than “Fa, la, la, la, la.”

Of course, this is improv, so the audience will play a critical role in every performance as our players race against the clock to preserve the holiday spirit, including fun opportunities for audience participation and interaction that you won’t find elsewhere.

However you feel about the holidays, we’ll have plenty of laughter and good cheer (mixed with a helping of satire and a dash of snark).

Company ensemble The Broken Bones will open for this show.
