Simone Gannage
(she/her)
Washington Improv TheaterOn a dark and stormy night in January 2023, Simone braved the cold and walked into her first ever improv class. She never found the exit.
Simone describes improv like Hotel California: you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave. What began as a single Level 1 class quickly turned into Levels 2, 3, 4, 5, electives, and the creeping realization of, “wait… how did I get here?” It was love at first Yes, And, and she’s been enthusiastically recruiting others ever since. (She insists it’s not a cult. Just excellent vibes.)
Simone completed the WIT curriculum in Spring 2024 and joined the Harold Program in Fall 2024. Outside of Harold, she has competed in FIST, supported Improvapalooza (aka the best time of the year), and performs with indie teams Secrets Out and Blame Da Rodent.
When she’s not on stage, Simone can be found at the dog park relentlessly throwing a ball for her half‑terrier, half‑monster Juniper. Her friends say she’s funnier since she started improv. Simone insists she’s always been hilarious. (Don’t worry, we’ll let you decide.)
