Paul Detrick

Paul was nervous and sweaty when he took his first improv class at WIT in 2007, but he did anyway.

Back in the 2000s, Paul played on indie teams and at ComedySportz, DC. He was a part of WIT’s volunteer program and worked the door at WIT’s very first Improvapalooza improv festival.

In Los Angeles, Paul played on several Harold teams at iOWest, performed at the Upright Citizens’ Brigade, was on the house team “HMS Death,” at the Pack Theatre, and was a main company member at ComedySportz, LA. He’s helped lead corporate improv workshops and performed at various festivals including the Moontower Comedy Festival. He is also a former video editor of the award-winning YouTube comedy cult hit, “UNHhhh” starring Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova.

Since being back in DC, Paul has been performing with WIT’s “QVC Players,” DC’s chapter of Opera On Tap, and with his FIST team “Judith Light.”

I still talk to friends I made in WIT’s classes 18 years ago.
