Memphis Worley

While dabbling in stand-up comedy in DC, a fellow comic suggested Memphis try improv, and he was hooked after Level 1 at WIT.

Memphis has loved building a well rounded array of comedy classes including the WIT curriculum and electives, stand-up with DC Improv and Laugh Index Theatre, and storytelling with Story District. Improv is favorite for many reasons, but the improv motto “got your back” can be so inspiring and embodies all that is great about improv.

When not performing improv, Memphis has a passion for sampling doughnuts around the DC Metro Area, and always scouts out new doughnut shops to visit on trips domestic and abroad. He likens the creativity and possibilities of doughnut shapes, sizes, and flavors to much of what is good about life, including improv!

He’s a bit of a data nerd too, so you may find him working long hours perfecting a data visualization for analyzing baseball statistics. Or you may find him blowing off steam at a pinball arcade, or taking in any favor of live punk, post-punk, metal, indie, goth, or synthpop music at a local venue.

He performs with indie team “Traveling Tchotchkes”
