Maja Côté
she/her
Washington Improv TheaterMaja’s stage career began in a kindergarten showcase. She retired early, before making a comeback in high school and through university.
After moving from Québec to DC, she searched for theater classes (all full) and, with a grumpy shrug, turned to improv. The rebound stuck and a year and a half later, she’s hooked on the process, having completed the WIT curriculum, trained at DC Improv, had her first Palooza. Maja is your typical introvert who perks up on stage, or so she thinks.
With a background in nutrition, literature, and teaching, Maja has a thing for studying various subjects, especially people. Not in a creepy way, rest assured, they’re just endlessly interesting. In the wild, you’ll find her in an acting class at The Theatre Lab, on a yoga mat, coaxing Washingtonians into French, or baking cookies.
