Lore Leupold

Lore took their first improv class at a Christian community theater in middle school. They ditched Jesus but kept up with improv.

In college, they joined William and Mary’s Improvisational Theater and performed for 4 years in random classrooms across campus. While living in Shanghai for five years, Lore performed with the improv troupe People’s Republic of Comedy, including a set at the Manila Improv Festival.

They also dabble in sketch and wrote/produced/performed in two sketch shows “Desperate Woman” and “Genderplay: A Play on Gender” as a Writing Fellow at NYU Shanghai. After several years as a Covid recluse, Lore reentered society through WIT’s improv classes. They are proud to say they now leave their house nearly daily (kind of). Outside of improv, Lore enjoys making sock puppets, ultimate frisbee, and convincing their housemates they’re “totally not an alien.”
