Jeff Waggett

Unbeknownst to him at the time, Jeff’s baseball career peaked the year he played every position on the field and was honored with his team’s Mr. Utility award. After being promoted a level the next year, Jeff was quickly forced to retire when his true lack of ability became very beknownst to everyone.

Unemployed at age 13, Jeff refused to become bitter and instead chose to embrace the utilitarian spirit of his greatest baseball achievement. Ever since, Jeff has sought out curious people, unusual experiences, and patriotic causes. He now has a very particular set of skills, skills he has acquired over a very long career.

Jeff provides strategic communication and planning support to top US national security executives. He strongly believes that great strategy is wasted without great storytelling—the kind that speaks the audience’s language and meets them where they are.

Graduating from WIT was a truly moving experience for Jeff, and he looks forward to giving back through his Board service. Everyone should have the opportunity to expand their horizons through a welcoming, inclusive community like WIT—and laugh at themselves while doing so.
