Hana Farnese
she/her
Washington Improv TheaterPerfectionist turned improviser (therapist’s orders)
Hana’s therapist once suggested improv as exposure therapy for her perfectionism, which is why this bio took an unreasonable amount of time to write. Before joining WIT in 2024, her primary qualification was staying up until 3am in middle school watching Whose Line Is It Anyway and developing a long-standing crush on Ryan Stiles (still hot). A lifelong DMV native, she hesitantly signed up for a Level 1 class at WIT — and has since fallen in love with the WIT community. In 2025, she co-founded the indie team Half & Half, a group of friends who run around DC performing improv and producing shows.
If we’re talking training, Hana spent over a decade in chorus and musical theatre (#soprano) and the past few years as a summer camp counselor and director — arguably the most improvisational role out there. Her comfort characters tend to be Chipotle workers (a tribute to her high school Tex-Mex employment) or anyone navigating a totally reasonable amount of anxiety.
