Gaelyn D. Smith

When Gaelyn was a little girl, she knew she wanted to get paid to talk a lot!

Gaelyn is a DC born and raised actor, comedian and writer. She got her start as the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical Jr. and even though her voiced cracked, her confidence grew!

In high school, she started writing and performing spoken word poetry and was a two time member of the DC Youth Slam Team. After becoming the number one youth spoken word poet in the DMV, she got her BFA in Acting and MA in Television, Radio, and Film from Syracuse University.

She has performed with the Discovery Theatre, Drunk Shakespeare DC and was nominated for an ensemble award at the Helen Hayes for her work as Opal in Studio Theatre’s production of Fat Ham. You can find her cracking jokes at your local open mic.

When Gaelyn isn’t on stage, you can find her talking about the entertainment industry and her favorite movies/television shows on the No Sleep Till Hollywood Podcast.

When she’s not talking about those things, you can find her playing with Legos, reading a good book or eating french fries.
