Erica Johnson
Washington Improv TheaterThe crazy girl who always meets your mom and your family loves.
Erica Johnson has seriously been around! She started doing improv and theatre in college at the the University of Buffalo (also a really good theatre school). Her “official training” started with MopCo, a small improv school in Albany, NY. From there, Erica went straight to Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC, where she currently performs in the Academy. She’s also a writer and currently has a sketch show at UCB called Spotlight.
Her work hasn’t stopped there. Erica’s been part of PIT sketch ensemble as an actor for Buff Cousins and also performed on a weekend improv team at the Magnet. She’s on the indie team The Code Switch, which just performed at WIT.
Erica is a grad student studying Strategic Communications and Journalism. Before starting school, she was a project manager for a state agency in NY and a delegate for the AFL-CIO. Currently, she co-chairs NYC’s National Lawyers Guild. When she’s not doing improv or acting, Erica does volunteer work to help make the world a better place for people, especially marginalized groups. She loves community service! A special talent she has is drawing and eating food that’s already spoiled (my stomach is so strong).
