Emily Dalton

Emily has been a theatre artist since her middle school days, yoinking a BFA in Theatre Performance from VCU and performing improv and musicals in her hometown of Charlottesville, VA. She sharpened her teeth in NYC for nine years where she acted, wrote, directed, and performed in new plays, as well as studied improv & sketch at the PIT NYC. She's written & performed 2 comedic solo shows (with a theoretical 3rd on the way), and now she's a proud Dad on WIT's harold team, "World's Greatest Dad (Mug)"!

As a performer Emily has always been drawn to the classics, Shakespeare especially. Summer 2025 will mark her third year performing in the Rose Company cast of the Maryland Renaissance Festival! You can find her wailing along the lanes as Margery Malagrave, Professional Mourner: “I feel FOR you”. She’s also making up new Shakespeare plays on the spot with the improvised-Shakespeare ensemble, The Merely Players, performing regularly with Rails Comedy at DCAC.

Emily is a Baptist pastor’s kid, she finds ghost-hunting romantic, and her cat is named after the Bride in Kill Bill. Find out more: TheEmilyDalton.com.
