Emily Dalton
(she/her)
Washington Improv TheaterEmily has been an actor, director, and improviser since her middle school days, and she received a BFA in Theatre Performance at Virginia Commonwealth University. After training with the Bent Improv Theatre of Charlottesville, VA, Emily sharpened her teeth in NYC for nine years where she mostly wrote, directed, and performed in new plays. She also wrote and performed two comedic solo shows with the Peoples Improv Theatre, "But The Light Stays On" and "Baptist Pastor's Kid
She studied with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, which really paid off because now she’s a Professional Nerd™ with the Maryland Renaissance Festival where she gets to improvise all day as Margery Malagrave, Professional Mourner (catch phrase “I feel for you”). With WIT, she has played in FIST, studied the art of the Improvised Play with HM Vitale, is a rotating cast member of And, Scene!, and most recently joined the Harold ranks on “World’s Greatest Dad (Mug)”.
Fun facts: Emily is a Baptist pastor’s kid, she loves horror movies despite still being afraid of the dark, she named her cat Beatrix Kiddo after the Bride in “Kill Bill”, and she has a habit of analyzing movies out loud in real time, dubbing movie-nights with Emily “Getting the Emily Cut”.
