Dudley Ward
(he/him)
Washington Improv TheaterDudley Ward is a local real estate advisor known for his deep human approach to his work. He helps people make meaningful decisions about how and where they want to live.
Dudley brings a unique blend of leadership, creativity, and lived experience to the WIT board. A former U.S. Marine and Secret Service agent, he’s well-versed in trust, adaptability, and collaboration—core elements of improv. Now a top-producing real estate advisor in D.C., he uses storytelling and empathy to guide clients through life transitions. He brings that same perspective—along with expertise in branding, strategy, and mental health advocacy—to support WIT’s mission of building accessible, empowering, and inclusive creative spaces.
Dudley came to WIT unexpectedly, signing up for an improv class at a moment when he needed something light, honest, and creative. He never anticipated how deeply it would impact his life. The community, the confidence, the sense of play—it all became something he kept returning to.
He believes deeply in WIT’s mission to make improv accessible and inclusive—because everyone deserves a space to express themselves, take risks, and feel connected. As a board member, he’s honored to help create and protect that space.
Outside of work, Dudley spends time with his service dog, Molly, who’s often by his side at shows and rehearsals. He’s also a mental health advocate, a fan of good storytelling in all its forms, and someone who believes that laughter—especially the unexpected kind—can change everything.
