Washington Improv TheaterOriginally from Richmond, Va., Chelsea discovered comedy as a way to stave off the boredom of being a beautiful twenty-something.
Since first taking the stage as a stand up, they have further applied their creative drive to storytelling, podcasting, sketch writing, acting, drag performance, and directing. They have had the privilege of performing at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington DC’s historic Howard Theater, as well as multiple colleges and comedy venues across the country.
For the 2019 Washington DC 48 Hour Film Festival, they were awarded Best Actress for their work as a writer and actor in the short film Admit One. In the summer of 2021, they made their directorial debut with Blaire Postman: Struggling Chartist, a one woman show exploring the benefits of diverse ways of thinking.
