Andrew Werdal
(he/him)
Washington Improv TheaterAndrew was first introduced to Theatrical Performance as a means to correct a speech impediment.
After sorting that out, he took childhood roles in public school productions. Auditioned for “Little Women” despite thinking he was helping out with someone else’s audition. Loved “Whose Line is it Anyway?” reruns and played many living room improv games.
When the opportunity arose, he took a 101 class with the Upright Citizens Brigade and got his first taste of longform improv.
Soon after, he began learning wherever he could and that included iO Chicago, The Second City and SAK Comedy Lab. As a performer, he’s played regularly at The Comedy Clubhouse with “Phinneas Insidious” and with “For Display Only” of the Intercollegiate Titanic Players.
