WIT ensemble Uncle Gorgeous to hold auditions in April

WIT ensemble Uncle Gorgeous will be holding auditions on April 16 at the Latin American Youth Center (1419 Columbia Rd. NW) and April 18 and 19 at Studio Theatre (1501 14th St. NW). Please sign up by filling out this form by Sunday, April 12 at 5 PM.

The talented cast members of  Uncle Gorgeous really care about connection — within their group and the broader community. They love finding “that shared group energy that still lets everyone’s unique voice, identity, and background shine.” Their motivation comes from the joyful moments and real-life connections that their audiences bring with them. They seek inspiration from the personal stories that audience members volunteer to share about a family member (related and/or chosen), and play with both organic and premise-based scene work. They’re especially into big, silly group games.

The cast: Tom Di Liberto, Mikail Faalasi, Rae Lang, Kristina Martinez (pictured), Ryan McCloskey, Jordana Mishory, and Kelsey Peters.

Rehearsal schedule: Uncle Gorgeous practices on the first and third Thursday of each month from 7:15 PM to 9:15 PM. They regularly perform during WIT show runs. They strive to intentionally create an environment where improvisers with a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities are free to express themselves creatively and authentically.
