After 27 years of laughter, connection, and creative innovation, Washington Improv Theater is on the brink of a monumental moment in our history. We’re about to secure our very own home—and we need you to help make it happen.

For decades, WIT has been lighting up stages all across the District—from the intimate space at Flashpoint to our current residency at Studio Theater. We’ve brought joy to thousands of audience members, fostered creativity and connection with thousands of students, nurtured countless local improvisers, and created a vital artistic community. But now, we’re preparing for something even bigger.

We’ve spent over ten years searching for the right space to call our own. And now, we are thrilled to announce that we are finally in the final stages of securing a permanent location that will be a true home for improv in DC. While we can’t reveal all the details just yet, we’re working on a space that will include a world-class performance theater, classrooms for aspiring artists, and a vibrant cafe/bar for gathering, conversation, and connection.
