Melanie Zehner
Washington Improv TheaterMelanie began studying improv at the age of 10 when she was hired to work for an interactive theatrical event at her local zoo in Upstate New York.
Taking classes re-sparked her love of improv, and she felt that the best way to say “Thank you” to WIT was to volunteer. One of her favorite aspects of volunteering is meeting new people in the improv community and learning new house management skills.
Melanie has master’s degree in physical acting from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. After grad school, Melanie moved to DC in 2016 and started taking classes at WIT a few months later. Melanie currently works as a freelance actor, teaching artist, and writer in the DC area.
