In Lieu of Flowers is back for an encore run to take another look at Life and Death with WIT.
In Lieu of Flowers stages a fully improvised funeral based on the final wishes of a member of the audience. The show uses comedy and drama to explore the human experience of death and our desire to see how others will remember us after we shuffle off this mortal coil.
The cast—featuring some of Washington, DC’s most talented improvisers—uses love, loss, joy, grief, and mortality to celebrate our interviewee. This is a show where people genuinely care for each other, where the darkness of death is upended and used to shine a light on life and how we live it.
