Pitch it for WIT’s Directors Series—an opportunity to put your show on WIT’s mainstage for a multi-week run like the current show In Lieu of Flowers and the upcoming Heavy Rotation improvised rock show.
Come to Source on Sunday June 10th for a panel of current and past improvisers who have created and directed unique improvised shows. The panel will address the process of pitching and creating a show, structuring rehearsals, and will share their approaches to the wonderful and collaborative creative process. Bring your ideas and your questions! WIT is eager to draw on the rich community of improvisers whose imaginations will fuel the next original improvised show. This is a highly encouraged meeting for anyone who might want to bring a new show to life.
WIT Artistic/Executive Director Mark Chalfant will be on hand to reveal and explain the process for submitting a show for consideration (this information will also be put online after the panel).
WIT’s Directors’ panel will feature Dan Miller (Improv Actually, Citizens’ Watch), Jaci Pulice (The October Issue, Yearbook), Zach Mason (In Lieu of Flowers), Mary Ann Badavi (Heavy Rotation) and moderated by Michael Hendrix (Citizens’ Watch).
This free event will be upstairs at Source. If you have accessibility concerns, please email wit@witdc.org.
