White Privilege, Black Power + The Interview + Uncle Gorgeous
December 21, 2019
Every night at Seasonal Disorder is a wild, new experience! One night, you may see an improvised slasher movie (Die! Die! Die!) while another night you might be thrilled by the smarts and energy of WIT ensembles like Hellcat and Madeline.
White Privilege, Black Power
In the thought-provoking show, Lewis (who is African-American) and Tindale (who is white) ask each other candid questions about race and perform scenes based on the responses.
Cast: Eva Lewis and Greg Tindale
A show based on an interview of a DC-based entrepreneur. We talk to someone doing cool things in DC in any area (food, media, music, arts, etc.), and ask them about how they started, if they have any interesting anecdotes about their work, and more.
The Interview’s Special Guest: Gina Schaefer, Co-Founder and CEO of 11 Ace Hardware stores located in Washington, DC Baltimore, MD and Alexandria, VA.
Gina is a passionate entrepreneur who grew her company from one to eleven stores in a twelve year period, and with her husband leads a multi-million-dollar small business that employs 250 people. Gina has tirelessly focused on the “Return to Main Street” movement in her own city of Washington, DC, to promote Shop Local campaigns and community revitalization projects in urban areas. She serves on the board for CCA Global Partners, Inc., and the nonprofits House of Ruth and the Institute for Local Self-Reliance.
